Bring a sampling of your best homemade goods to swap with friends
(jams, butters, cheeses, soaps, infused oils, baked goods, canned garden veggies, etc.)
Guidelines:
1.) items must be properly packaged and labeled with storage instructions and expiration or other pertinent information
2.) whenever possible, use high quality ingredients that are whole, local, organic, hormone- free, etc.
3.) items must be homemade by YOU!!!
First swap 9/15 Saturday 9:30 am coffee, tea and muffins will provided
if you plan to participate, you must register at least a week ahead of time for planning purposes
participation is always free although small donations are always accepted and will be used to fund future swaps.
Our hope is that this can grow in the future, lessening the time we spend we spend in grocery stores, increasing our consumption of locally made goods as well as strengthening relationships in our community.
For our very first swap, we are going to keep it simple while we work out all of the details.
We areĀ going to do even trades. For example, if fifteen swappers are participating, each should bring 14 items to trade. We also don’t want any of your hard work to go to waste, so if you have any dietary restrictions, etc. that would keep you from using any of the goods, we ask that you either give it to someone that you know would enjoy it or leave it at the swap with no hurt feelings.
